Clinical Expertise

Dr. Cristescu has been trained by world-renowned experts in the field of ablation and embolization of solid organs and tumors. He served as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Emory University Hospital from 2018-2022 and Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) from 2022-2025. During that time, he has trained over 80 fellows and residents in vascular & interventional radiology. His clinical expertise currently includes a variety of urologic interventions, including prostate artery embolization (PAE), renal microwave and cryoablation, & histotripsy. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts and presentations. 

Dr. Cristescu is an adjunct Assistant Professor of Radiology at MCW and is a practicing interventional radiologist with EmboPartners. He is passionate about collaboration between medical specialties to provide access to high-quality, minimally-invasive care for patients. Through EmboPartners, Dr. Cristescu is excited to offer prostate artery embolization to patients seeking an interventional solution for BPH.
